颈椎管狭窄可压迫脊髓，引起四肢感觉运动障碍、行走不稳、踩棉花感、胸部束带感等症状，一般称为脊髓型颈椎病。

Cervicalspinalstenosiswithmyleopathyisdiagnosedwhendegenerativechangesinthecervicalspinecausespinalcord 　　当颈椎退行性改变引起脊髓受压，可诊断为颈椎管狭窄伴脊髓病。

Thespinalcordisanervebundlethatrunsfromthebaseofthebraintothelowback.Inanormalspine,thereisamplespaceforthespinalcordinthespinalcanal.

　　脊髓是自大脑底部到腰部的一束神经。在正常脊柱，椎管有充足的空间可以容纳脊髓。

Incervicalspinalstenosis,however,thisspacebe 　　当颈椎椎管狭窄时，这个空间就变得过于狭小。

Overtime,degenerativechangesinthespinecancausethespinalcanaltonarrow.Havingacongenitallynarrowspinalcanalmakesonesusceptibletodevelopingcervicalspinalstenosis.

　　时光流逝，脊柱退行性改变会引起椎管狭窄。如果天生椎管狭小，则更容易发展为颈椎管狭窄症。

Degenerativechangescanbecausedbyoneora 　　退行性改变可以是一种病变或多种病变联合在一起，比如骨关节炎或椎间盘突出。

Incervicalosteoarthritis,cartilagebetweenthefacetjointsdegeneratesovertime,resultinginfrictionbetweenthebones.

　　在颈椎骨关节炎，关节突关节之间的软骨随着时间而发生退行性改变，使骨头之间的出现摩擦。

Thisfrictioncanleadtothedevelopmentofosteophytes,orbonespurs,whichcanencroachuponthenerverootsastheyexitthespinalcanalthroughtheforaminalopening,ortheycanencroachcentrallyonthespinalcorditself.

　　这种摩擦会导致骨赘的产生，也就时平时说的骨刺，它们会对经过椎间开口离开椎管的神经根产生卡压，如果突向中央椎管会压迫脊髓。

Oneormoreherniatedcervicaldiscsmayalsocontributetospinal 　　如果一个或多个椎间盘突入椎管，也会造成脊髓的压迫。

Herniateddiscsmayfurtherimpingeonnerverootsthatalreadyhavesomeforaminal 　　如果骨关节炎已经造成椎间孔处的神经根受压，椎间盘突出会更进一步挤压神经根。

Spinalcord 　　脊髓受压引起脊髓病变，会影响脊髓的功能。

Thesymptomsofcervicalspinalcord 　　颈脊髓受压会出现包括胳膊、手或下肢的麻木、针刺感、无力或疼痛等一系列的症状。

Symptomscanalsoincludealossofbladderorbowelcontrol,orproblemswithbalanceorcoordination,suchasashufflinggaitortrippingeasilywhenwalking.

　　症状还包括大小便功能障碍，平衡和协调能力的障碍，比如步态迟缓或行走时容易绊倒。

Cervicalspinalstenosiswithmyleopathycanbepermanentlydisablingifitisallowedtoprogresstoofar.Itcanbetreatedwithacervicalde 　　如果不及时治疗，颈椎管狭窄伴脊髓病会导致永久性的功能障碍。它可以通过颈椎减压手术进行治疗。
